Why cook for yourself? It's cheaper than eating out. It's fun. You choose the ingredients. You control how nutritious it is. You drive less. You waste less food.

Eat Real Food

Why eat real food? If your grandmother wouldn't have immediately recognized it as "food" there's a good chance it's less food and more manufactured good. Who wants to eat manufactured good?

Eat In Season

Why eat in season? Eating fruits and vegetables at the time of harvest means you're eating them when they're fresh, have traveled less and have been stored less.

Eat regular meals

Skipping meals can lead to out-of-control hunger, often resulting in overeating. When you're very hungry, it's also tempting to forget about good nutrition. Snacking between meals can help curb hunger, but don't eat so much that your snack becomes an entire meal.

Eat moderate portions

If you keep portion sizes reasonable, it's easier to eat the foods you want and stay healthy.
